BELIEVE IN THE LOVE AND SPIRIT OF THE LORD

AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY FOR ALL WHO

Our church is like a tree; we have our roots, but we are still growing

NOTICE TO ALL CHURCH MEMBERS AND FRIENDS

This Sunday, May 31st is Pentecost Sunday so don't forget to wear RED as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit. Also note that we will be celebrating Communion this Sunday. I will be away next Sunday. The Deacons will be leading worship and Steve Ruhl will be offering the message. I continue to hold each of you in my prayers during this time of the Pandemic.

I have waited until now to write this because I wanted all the facts first. This week Governor Mills announced that we would begin to reopen the state over the next 4 months. There is an opportunity for churches to have drive in services. I have thought and prayed about this, talked with some of our Deacons, and have talked with Morgan Espling, our lead tech person, and we are ALL IN AGREEMENT. Drive -in services are not going to work for us. Therefore, we will, at least until the beginning of September, continue with our Virtual Worship Service every Sunday. We have added a virtual Coffee Time following worship where everyone is free to talk (the Coffee Time portion is not being recorded) just like we would at a real Coffee Time. This will give everyone a chance to socialize.  Is it as good as being in our building? Probably not, but we can see and chat with each other. I pray that by September we will be able to gather at our building once again. Please keep in mind that we are the church, the building is just that, a building. Let us continue to gather as a church via Zoom every Sunday and to reach out and share God’s love with all.
Blessings,
Pastor Sue
